Amy Cloud, a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and composer, has performed in country, folk, rock, jazz and dance bands from Boston to Miami. An alumna of the Boston School of Contemporary Music, she served as Music Director of the Delaware Shakespeare Festival and performed and composed music for four productions. Cloud 9 contributed an original jazz composition to Winterthur Museum’s recently released CD, Playing in the Garden. Amy contributed a second original work, performed by Danaher and Cloud on this CD, inspired by the magic of the children’s “Enchanted Garden” at Winterthur. She is a Certified Activities Director, who designs musical programs specifically geared to meet the diverse needs of residents in all stages of senior living communities. Amy is currently composing new material for two CD projects for Danaher and Cloud. The first is a collection of songs inspired by true stories of the people she knows entitled “Family Album.” The second, an as yet unnamed project of music for prayer and meditation, will celebrate spiritual traditions from around the world. |
Kate and Amy began their musical and theatrical partnership as the founders of the children’s entertainment troupe, Fiddlin’ and Foolin’. They have been opening acts for Blackthorn, Aoife Clancy, and Tommy Sands. Amy, as a singer, has opened for The Chieftans, and Danaher and Cloud, as a duo, opened for The Chieftans at Philadelphia’s Kimmel Center.
